A professional Move Manager will be assigned to the project to ensure a smooth transition of an organisation’s business and staff. They will devise and implement an individual and detailed move plan based on the project requirements from carrying out site surveys, attending strategic meetings, move implementation to post move support. Move programs, resource and activity schedules, filing audits, IT audits and asset registers will be drawn up with the key focus on keeping our client project teams informed on progress throughout. A post move help desk will be set up to provide post move support and ensure the project is completed seamlessly.
Our trained teams of supervisors and operatives are well experienced in putting into practice our tried and tested move methodologies. They always adopt a professional approach to their work, dressed in full uniform and PPE and conduct themselves quietly (refraining from recreational mobile phone use), politely and efficiently whilst on our client’s premises and in the public domain.
Furniture, IT & Filing Relocation
Merit have operated in the office furniture industry for over 30 years gaining a wealth of experience in installing and reconfiguring a huge range of furniture systems including Knoll, B&B Italia, Herman Miller, Ahrend to name but a few. Our trained fitters understand how to dismantle, protect, move and reassemble expensive furniture without causing loss or damage to the item or surrounding area. In addition, we have a dedicated IT relocation team to effectively plan, protect, move and test all IT equipment.
Health & Safety
The health and safety of our teams and our clients are of paramount importance to Merit. All operatives are CSCS trained as standard and will undergo site-specific induction before commencing a relocation project. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times whilst on site. We provide and train our team members to operate the correct industry standard trolleys, cages, skates, crates and other moving equipment. We know exactly which protection materials should be used and what should be avoided on furniture items as well as the site itself, protecting lifts, lobbies, walkways and doors.
Merit maintain and operate a fleet of liveried vehicles ranging from small panel vans, crew buses and 3.5 tonne Luton vans with tail lifts through to 7.5 and 18 tonne HGV’s. We can safely and efficiently load, transport and unload move items to the designated location site or back to our warehouse.
Long/Short Term Storage
Our fully secure CCTV monitored 200,000 square foot of warehousing space provides the perfect solution to storing items during a relocation project. This space is tailored entirely to our client’s needs and can be on a short or long term basis.
