Recycle & Reuse Operation

Our comprehensive reuse and recycling scheme reflects our continued commitment to minimise the impact our business has on the environment.

Internally, we have a strict policy of ‘Recycle and Reuse’ with the absolute minimum of our waste being put forward for landfill. In turn, we are mindful of our clients, their environmental policies and their possible commitment to ISO 14001. As well as recycling our general, day-to-day waste such as packaging materials, we also offer a service to remove all unwanted furniture and IT equipment for reuse or recycling.

Reuse

We believe that unwanted furniture and IT equipment should be reused wherever possible. We have set up a scheme whereby local schools and charities receive notice from us when a project is completed and furniture is available. They have first refusal on any furniture.

Recycle

After a limited period of time, any unwanted furniture items will be forwarded for recycling.

All furniture items are stripped and broken down into components and are sorted into containers on our premises in each of the following categories; metal, plastic, wood, manufactured worktops, glass, textiles, IT equipment and cardboard. Each container will then go through a formal and responsible recycling process.
